Congratulations to our 2026 recipient of the John Ebert Excellence in Leadership and Initiative Award, Cindy Blevins

We are pleased to announce that Cindy Blevins has been chosen as the recipient of the 2026 John Ebert Excellence in Leadership and Initiative Award! Cindy serves as the Accounting Supervisor in Abingdon, VA. She has been with Appalachian Natural Gas and Utility Pipeline since May of 1995. Cindy has always been a solid worker behind the scenes, but when John Jessee began the transition towards retirement, she stepped-up to ensure everything was ready. Cindy’s constant positive attitude, leadership in the face of adversity, and willingness to step in and help are truly inspiring. She has unwavering loyalty to UPL and her job. Her drive, work ethic, diligence, tenacity, generosity, and willingness to grow are just a few things that set her apart. She is a voice of reason and calm in the storm and is exceptionally proficient in gas procurement practices with the Virginia utilities. Somehow, someway, she can answer questions that no one else can. Cindy is extremely knowledgeable and worked ever so diligently to take over many of John Jessee’s day-to-day functions. She also never hesitated to take on additional work that she was unfamiliar with. She is a selfless person who continues to keep the vision and prosperity of UPL at the forefront. Cindy is a near mirror image of who John Ebert was, how he worked, and what he would have wanted each one of us to be like. We look forward to the value that Cindy will continue to bring to UPL for years to come.
