Job Summary

Utility Pipeline Ltd. is searching for a Compliance Field Technician for a Natural Gas Distribution company who would operate throughout the state of Ohio, primarily in Central Ohio. This tech would report to our office in Buckeye Lake. Ideally, this person would be located somewhere near Lancaster, Zanesville, or Newark area. This individual would assist in the administrative functions of the compliance department, oversee the construction of pipelines to ensure compliance with all technical and safety regulations, and provide field support in conducting compliance related tasks. Experience in the Natural Gas distribution field or in Utility construction a plus, but willing to train the right person. This is a full time, hourly position with benefits.

General Responsibilities

  • Inspect pipeline projects and jobs
  • Provide field supervision
  • Supervise sub-contractors on assigned projects
  • Enforce pipeline safety rules and regulations
  • Assist with Operator Qualification of employees/contractors
  • Complete daily construction logs and required paperwork
  • Coordinate, gather, and verify compliance related field documentation
  • Conduct training and in-house seminars
  • Maintain company vehicle and equipment
  • Assist with operations when needed

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree a plus
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience preferred but not required
  • Valid and clean Ohio driver’s license
  • Willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test (pre-employment and random)
  • Willing to complete required online training and pipeline safety training programs
  • Some travel involved throughout the state of Ohio
