WHO WE ARE
Established in 1995, UPL was formed for the purpose of providing natural gas service to communities not being served by Ohio's various utility companies. Through strategic business arrangements with natural gas cooperatives, local public utilities, local gas producers and interstate pipeline companies, UPL has extended its operations throughout many communities in Ohio and expanded into eastern Indiana and western Pennsylvania. At the end of 1998 and again in 2004, UPL further expanded in the natural gas distribution market through the installation of new pipelines into existing unserved communities, establishing service in new real estate developments and the acquisition of smaller existing natural gas pipeline systems.
From the earliest inception of UPL through today, we have taken great pride in our well-established reputation for the quality of the work we perform at each and every step in providing service to our customers. Both during installation of pipelines and afterwards during reclamation, we ensure a timely and orderly construction schedule, and operate and maintain our systems to the highest standards.
Today, more than fifteen years after its formation, UPL actively continues to seek opportunities for growth in the natural gas distribution market off of systems currently under management as well as developing new or acquired systems. With a collective effort and a structured approach UPL works hard to create long-term value for our customers and maintain our place as the preferred provider of natural gas distribution systems in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
